Changes in the Payment API Impacting PII Data
In our ongoing effort to enhance the security and efficiency of our services, we are committed to providing you the best solutions while upholding the highest standards of privacy and data protection. Therefore, we want to inform you about an update to our Payment API that may affect how data is handled in your integration.
What is changing?
As of April 1, 2025, when a payment is in "pending" status, it will not return any information related to payer data. This means details such as the name and other personal identifiers will not be available while the transaction is pending.
What will be the impact of this change?
This change is designed to minimize the exposure of sensitive data that is unnecessary while the transaction has not yet been completed. We want to ensure that your system and integrations are prepared to handle this new data structure seamlessly.
To this end, we recommend the following actions:
• Review your current integrations to ensure they can manage this change without impacting your operations.
• Update any workflows that rely on payer information in the "pending" status to avoid disruptions.
• Consider storing any necessary payer data in a manner that complies with privacy and data protection regulations.
Following these recommendations is crucial to ensuring that your operations are not affected. If you have any questions or need additional technical assistance, our Technical Support team is available to help you.
